Nozzles & Jets
We stock numerous jets and nozzles for carpet cleaning sprayers, wands, upholstery, and stair tools. Nozzles and jets do wear out and It is recommended that brass jets are replaced every 6 months and stainless jets every 12 months.
There are 2 main types of jets available, either a VeeJet or TeeJet. - The main difference is, a Veejet has a male thread, this is typically 1/8" NPT whereas a Teejet is flat on one side and requires a special nozzle holder. Both are available in brass or stainless steel. The numbers that are found on the face of the jet will identify the angle and flow - The first 2 or 3 numbers are indicate the angle of the spray pattern in degrees, for example; 9501, 11001, 80015, The last 2 or 3 numbers indicate flow for example 95015, 11002, 8004 and on VeeJets the size of the thread is usually indicated on the top bar of the jet as 1/8vv.
The flow rate is in 1/10 of a US Gallon at 40psi.
so, at 40psi a 8004 jet will flow 4/10 of a US gallon at 40psi in 1 minute.
This is equivalent to approx 1.5 litres per minute at 40psi.
As the pressure increases so does the flow rate but not in a linear pattern.
At 300 psi that same 8004 jet will flow approx 4.16 litres per minute.
The chart below shows flow rates per minute in US Gallons (3.78 litres)
